City of Frisco launches Frisco Green Living
January 27, 2010The City of Frisco, Texas, has launched Frisco Green Living, in partnership with the Green Right Now Network and Noofangle Media.
Frisco, with a population more than 100,000, is one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation, according to U.S. Census estimates. It also was ranked as one of the Top 10 cities to relocate to by Forbes magazine.
The city has a strong history of environmental leadership. Frisco was the first city in the U.S. to mandate ‘Energy Star’ standards for new home construction beginning in 2001. The city also has received the designation “Tree City USA” by the National Arbor Day Foundation and has won multiple National Arbor Day Foundation Growth Awards, which recognize cities for environmental improvement.
